Description

The Mazda RX-8 is well known for its high-revving rotary engine and well-balanced chassis. An overheating engine can result in a ruined track day or a damaged engine.

A Mishimoto racing thermostat is the ideal upgrade for improved cooling reliability and efficiency.
Mishimoto racing thermostats promote greater cooling efficiency by significantly decreasing high engine temperatures. Once the engine is fully warmed up, the Mishimoto low-temperature racing thermostat will open at a lower temperature (76°C) compared to standard thermostats (82°C). This allows coolant to flow through the engine sooner, thus reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures. As with all our products, this thermostat includes the Mishimoto lifetime warranty.

Ideal for all you track day nutters but equally at home on the street.

    Definitively a must as it can sort all kinds of issues with overheating. Sometimes it feels almost like a car cooling system cannot go over 68 degrees Celsius with this thermostat in it. Anyway this is a bargain everyone with RX-8 need to have.

    After an overheating before summer, I upgraded the setup with this thermostat which avoids this kind of critical situation.
    76°C will allow to open the regulation circuit earlier, and it is a must have for anyone who wants to preserve his engine from overheating.
