Genuine Mazda Rear Main Oil Seal for RX-8

Description

This is a genuine Mazda rear main oil seal, designed for the Mazda RX-8 RENESIS only.

This seal is installed in the rear stationary gear and seals against the centre of the flywheel or rear counterweight.
It is a good idea to change these if you are replacing the flywheel.

While this will fit earlier engines it is not recommended. you would want to use the correct seal for applications other than the Mazda RX-8

This seal is the darker brown that those found in the earlier engines and is also a made from a stiffer more rigid material.

Please note

If your engine is leaking oil from this seal it may not just be the seal that has failed, if your rear stationary gear bearing has failed then simply changing the seal will not fix your issue, You will need to replace the rear stationary gear bearing also.
