Description
This is a genuine Mazda distributor cap for the Series 4 and 5 Second Generation RX-7 FC3s made from 1986-1991 running the older distributor ignition system, not the Crank Angle Sensor
Distributor Caps are normally only found on the Series 4 RX-7 Fc3s from 86-88 however there are exceptions.
With older cars it is common to have the caps wear due to the electrical corrosion caused by the spark jumping the gap between the cap and the rotor arm. These should be checked and changed when wear starts to become obvious, We would also recommend considering changing the rotor arm at the same time.
