Genuine Exedy Stage Two Sports Cerametallic Single Series Clutch Kit
EXEDY Stage 2 Sports clutch kits are designed to handle the abuse of high power modified engines whist retaining adequate driveability. The cerametallic friction material can handle much more abuse than stock type disc assemblies without slipping or fading. All EXEDY Stage 2 cerametallic clutch discs have sprung center dampers to reduce the impact and shock loads transmitted through the drivetrain.

The drivability will be like a stock clutch. Pedal efforts will be slightly higher that stock (but similer to the Stage 1 Organic) because of the higher clamp loads.

Single Series clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load that is approximately 40% higher than the genuine part enabling a higher torque capacity. Ductile material is used for all pressure plates and high burst strength can be achieved in all temperature ranges.

Exedy stage 2 clutch kits have around a 10% reduction in inertia thanks to the design of the friction disk.

Please note that we have found this setup to be good in the street however you will trade off a some drivability against superior power handeling capabilities.

This Exedy kit comes as a 3 piece kit including genuine Exedy friction and pressure place plus a high quality clutch release bearing.

This Kit is a great upgrade for heavy street, track day, Race and Drift use. we would highly recommend combing this kit with our Essex Rotary Signature Braided Clutch hose and one of our lightweight Flywheels and Counterweights for the ultimate in streetable  performance.

This Stage 2 Clutch kit kit can be installed in to a 192ps RX-8, however it will require the installation of a lightweight flywheel from the likes of Black Halo Racing, Competition Clutch or Racing Beat flywheel plus counterweight.
