Exedy’s Stage 2 Single Series R-Type Racing Ceremetallic Kit
This is essentially a stage 2 Exedy clutch kit that has been put on a diet. with the R-type disc being considerably thinner and thus lighter than the street versions meaning less rotational inertia reducing losses in the engines drivetrain.
Manufactured using a unique metallic configuration and low density metallic material, T5001 Carbonrich, R-Type cerametallic discs are designed to be light weight; Inertia is 10% lower than the genuine part. These discs have excellent heat dissipation characteristics.
R-Type Cerametallic Disc
The R-Type Cerametallic Disc has a unique metal button configuration and is thinner to reduce the overall weight. As a result, inertia is approximately 30% lower than the OEM Disc.
Stage 2 Racing discs are approximately half the thickness of a stock disc and are strictly recommended for circuit use only.
Clutch Cover
Single Series clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load that is approximately 40% higher than the genuine part, enabling a higher torque capacity. Ductile material is used for all pressure plates and high burst strength can be achieved in all temperature ranges.
Power Handling
This Clutch Kit is rated to hold the following power
- 460Nm/340lb.ft flywheel torque
- 380Nm/280lb.ft wheel torque

This Kit will include the following items
- 1 x Pressure Plate
- 1 x Clutch Disc
- 1 x clutch Release Bearing
We would also recommend replacing the clutch pilot bearing and seal when you are working on this.
