This part fits all years of Mazda RX-8 with a RHD steering rack setup.

• 2003-2008 Mazda RX-8 Series 1
• 2008-2013 Mazda RX-8 Series 2

If you have a notchy or difficult to turn Steering action, then one of the causes is a rusted out lower steering UJ.

These are located close to the exhaust manifold and are prone to rusting due to their location and inability to hold grease.

This issue is normally noticeable with a stiff turning action in both directions. and may improve with some WD-40/spray lube being applied as a diagnosis (please note this is not a permanent fix)

If you steering is more difficult to turn one direction than the other, then this may be an electronic issue with the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) computer requiring recalibration. It is important that your issue is diagnosed properly prior to spending on this part.
